Key Concepts
Together we will learn about these fundamental building blocks of rainbow looms:
- Basics: Artists use looms, hooks, rubber bands, beads, charms and clips to create a finished product. They can create bracelets, belts, animals and more with rainbow loom bands. The only limit is the artist's imagination.
-
Pattern: Rainbow loom chains are created with patterns. Artists use colors, knots and beads to create patterns in their work. The patterns can range from simple (AB-AB) to more complicated (ABDCE-EDCBA) and so on. - Color: Artists choose different color combinations for specific reasons. The rainbow loom colors might represent a sports team, a childhood blanket, a favorite season, and more.
- Technique: In order to create rainbow loom patterns, artists stretch and knot rubber bands in different ways. Depending on the complexity of the design, artists can stretch the bands on a 2 peg loom, a 4 peg loom, or a multi-peg loom.
